Is your child turning 7 in 2025? Congratulations! Your little one is about to don a school uniform and embark on an exciting new chapter alongside fellow school students in Standard One for the 2025/2026 school year!
If you’re enrolling your child in a public Malaysian school (Sekolah Kebangsaan, SJKC, or SJKT), you can now do it online! GogoKids has created an easy-to-follow guide to help you navigate the registration process smoothly.
When to Apply Standard 1?
Is your child born between 2nd January 2018 & 1st January 2019?
Applications for the 2025/2026 school year will be open from May 2nd, 2024 till June 30th, 2024.
Take Note: The registration process for new applicants has been updated as of 2023: MOEIS (Modul Sistem Bersepadu KPM) is now used instead of SPS (Sistem Pengurusan Sekolah), and all previously entered details have automatically transferred to the new online portal.
To register, first-time users only need to create an idMe account, which will then connect them to their MOEIS account.(Modul Sistem Bersepadu KPM)
How to Register Online: First-Time Applicants
- Step 1: Visit the Ministry of Education’s Integrated System website at https://idme.moe.gov.my/login or scan the QR code.
- Step 2: Click on ‘Daftar Baru‘
- Step 3: Fill out all required fields, marked with an asterisk (*).
- Step 4: Tick the checkbox and enter the captcha code.
- Step 5: Click ‘Daftar‘ to submit the information you’ve provided, or click the ‘Reset’ button to clear the information.
Take Note: Once you’ve registered successfully, please check your email for your default password. Use this password to log in, and then update it to a new one.
- Step 6: Click on ‘Aplikasi‘ on the left side of the webpage.
- Step 7: Click on ‘Pengurusan Awam‘. You will be directed to the official MOEIS site.
- Step 8: On the left side of the dashboard, you will find ‘Pengurusan Profil‘. Click on this.
- Step 9: Now complete the fields for each of the drop down options: ‘Maklumat Peribadi‘, ‘Maklumat Pasangan‘ and ‘Maklumat Anak Jagaan‘.
- Step 10: This is where you fill in the details of yourself, your spouse and your child.
How to Register Online: Returning Applicants
Head on over to https://idme.moe.gov.my/ since you’ve already registered your previous child, yours and your spouse’s information is filled in.
- Step 1: Enter your User ID
- Step 2: Click on ‘Daftar Masuk’
- Step 3: Tick the checkbox and type in your password.
- Step 4: Click on ‘Daftar Masuk’
Before applying for your child’s Standard 1 placement, you’ll need to create their profile on the MOEIS dashboard. Here’s how:
- Step 1: Click on “Maklumat Anak Jagaan”.
- Step 2: Click ‘Tambah Anak Jagaan‘ and fill in the required information for your child’s profile.
- Step 3: Select ‘Cari’ to make any necessary updates to details (Optional: Skip if already completed).
Registering for Standard 1 Online
After updating the profiles, it’s time to proceed with your child’s official application for Standard 1.
The online registration process consists of four steps in total:
1. Review Profile (‘Semakan Profil’)
Click on ‘Pengurusan Profil’ on the sidebar to update your address, details of the parent/guardian, spouse of the parent/guardian, and the child.
After updating your profile details, select “Permohonan Kemasukan” on the sidebar. The requirements for enrollment will be displayed, along with your child’s updated details. Click on “Mohon” (apply)
2. School Selection (‘Pilihan Sekolah’)
The choice of school will be based on your registered address. Click next.
3. Supporting Documents (‘Dokumen Sokongan’)
Parents/guardians are required to upload the necessary documents in the specified format and size. Once complete, click ‘Seterusnya’.
4. Certification (‘Perakuan’)
Complete your application by verifying the accuracy of the provided information.
Print two copies of your submitted application form—one for submission to the school and another for your records. Below is a sample of the Borang Permohonan for your reference.
Submit Your Child’s Application & Documents at the Selected School
Once you’ve submitted online, you’ll need to take those printed copies to the chosen school by the deadline (again, May 2nd to June 30th, 2024).
Heads up: Different schools might have slightly different requirements, so this is just a general guide.

Please note: Submitting this application does not ensure placement, as school availability varies. Parents can confirm acceptance between October 1st and October 31st, 2024, at idme.moe.gov.my. During this period, appeals can also be submitted, and updated statuses will be accessible from December 1st, 2024.
